Includes material on child care, including CENTOS (child care association), 1935-1941; cultural and religious organizations, including Agudath Israel, Beth Jacob, CYSHO (Central Yiddish School Organization), and Yavneh schools, and Chachmei Lublin, Mir, Tomchei Tmimim (Lubavitch), and other yeshivas; medical aid, including Nurses Training School, Warsaw (Szkola Pielegniarstowa przy Szpitalu Starozakonnych w Warszawie), TOZ (Society for Preservation of Health Among Jews in Poland), and the papers, 1921-1923, of Dr. J.J. Golub, JDC medical commissioner in Wolyn and director of JDC medical activies in Poland; reconstruction, including agricultural credits, 1922-1923, Central Reconstruction Committee, 1921-1922, Central Reconstruction Bank (Bank dła Spoldzielni), 1921-1932, consumer cooperatives, trade schools, housing, and free loan societies, 1926-1940; refugees, including German Jewish refugees in Poland, 1938-1939, and Polish Jewish refugees abroad, 1939-1944. Also contains files on political, social, and economic conditions, and anti-Semitism, including pogroms, 1919-1921, anti-shechita (Jewish ritual slaughter) laws, 1936-1937, and discrimination against Jewish students, 1937-1938.
